All Things Planty!

Wednesday, 30 March 2016
(I will go into more detail about the disk and string contraption in another post. Its the thing at the top of the photo.)
I have a serious obsession with plants, but you'd probably know that if you follow me on Instagram. It's gotten so serious now that I am even wearing them! Well, not real plants but like graphics of them haha. These are some of my most recent leafy purchases (The perfect post for plant lovers!).

First off, lets talk about the jumper! My friend bought it for me and I fell in love with it straight away. It's from H&M, so run to your nearest store & go and grab one quick! Another leafy item my phone has been wearing is this palm print phone case. I got it from Carphone Warehouse when I picked up my phone. It isn't really new but I still wanted to include it.

Now onto some real plants. Or should I say the most adorable cacti everrr!
On Easter Sunday we had a trip to Botany Bay and I found so many tiny cacti, for 75p I couldn't resist adding a couple to my growing collection. Oh, I got a draping  ivy plant too! Remember in my Hexagon Shelves post that I said I wanted one? Well I got one and it now lives in my black plant pot, which I picked up in Brighton from a little shop in the Lanes.

So yeah, those are a few of the new things I have picked up! Do you have an obsession with plants/cacti? Or anything else for that matter!

Alsoooo, I am going to be posting 3 times a week in April (starting from Monday).
Well, I am going to give it a good try... so watch out for more posts!

Stella McCartney Platform Shoes Dupes.

Wednesday, 23 March 2016

A while ago, at the beginning of Feb, I bought these masculine looking shoes from Zara (I put a pic on Insta here). I've only just realised that they KINDA look like the Stella McCartney platform shoes don't they?! I mean, they don't have they massive wooden wedge but apart from that, they are pretty close. Lets call them a more wearable daytime alternative.

They are surprisingly easy to wear too. I pair mine with a casual outfit and throw on my long grey coat for a chic & effortless look. I haven't even mentioned the best part yet - they only cost £29.99! Absolute barg!

Although I would like to own some of the beautiful Stella.M shoes, I think these are a close enough dupe - not too high but still have the chunky ridged sole.

What do you think of these shoes? Do you think they look kinda look like the Stella McCartney ones?

Hexagon Shelves.

Sunday, 20 March 2016

I have a new addition to my bedroom, hexagon shelves! I have been looking for something to replace the frame wall above my bed (which I ripped down ages ago) and I thought these shelves, which are from Tiger, would be a great alternative. They were a steal too at only £6 each!

I knew straight away how I wanted to style them, with plants obvs! Eventually I'd like to get one of those hanging/draping plants... you know what I mean? Kind like these ones here.  Just so the space below the highest shelf doesn't look too bare.

What do you think of the new additions?

Working On The Go - Inspired by FreshBooks.

Wednesday, 16 March 2016
This was my entry!
entered a comp the other day hosted by FreshBooks (Insta), and it inspired me to create a post about working on the go. Theyre all about helping people #workanywhere by allowing them to invoice and run their business on the go!
So, I have a 'normal' job, which means I need to balance my time between that and blogging and it can be pretty difficult at times. So, here's how I work on the go.

You've got to have the resources you need around you - If I go and stay with my mum or brother I usually pack some blogging 'equipment' (If I don't have blog posts scheduled that is). That could included a wallpaper sample to use as a background, the things I need to photograph, my camera and lead, my IPad and laptop. Yeah, it is adding more things to lug about but at least I'll be able to get content up for that week.

When I have a post idea I jot it down straight away. I then have a base which I can build on and add my photos to when they are captured and edited. I usually edit them on my phone so when I am at work or out and about I can upload them to the post and publish it. I can also post the pictures to Instagram, letting everyone know that I have a new post.

After the post is up its important to keep an eye on it. I spend my breaks at work responding to any questions or comments. I am constantly on my phone checking my blog, I think the best place I've worked was on Brighton beach, responding to comments while surfers tackled the waves and the sun beamed down.

Where is the best place you have sat and worked whilst on the go?

Sunday, 13 March 2016

I loved creating my little London series (watch here) so much that I decided to film my trip to Brighton. So grab a good ol' cuppa and enjoy!

OH! And I have also decided to extent my giveaway till next Wednesday (16th)!! So don't forget to enter here!!

My Blog Turned 1! (GIVEAWAY CLOSED)

Tuesday, 8 March 2016
Picture: Etsy
So I don't usually post on Tuesdays, but today is a special occasion. My blog turned 1!! I cannot believe it was a year ago since I started my little blog, my first post being 3 Hair Favourites , which got a grand total of 0 comments and 29 views! Honestly though I was amazed that it got even 5 views never mind 29... oh, and very surprised that it didn't get any hateful comments. Obviously I didn't know much about blogging then but I was terrified that I was just going to get picked apart. Instead I have made some lovely blogger friends, like Mary & Abby!

Everything will be new and unopened, don't worry!
To say thank you I wanted to do a little give away. Its not much because lets face it, I ain't know millionaire (a girl can dream) but I still wanted to do something nice. So, I have put together a selection of products that I have mentioned on my blog over the past year. It includes:

(Linked to their blog posts)

To enter you have to follow me on Bloglovin' & Instagram and be subscribed to my YouTube channel. Once you have done all of that comment on this post, just letting me know that you have entered (I will check if you have done all of the above, mwhaha!). I will then pick a winner at random and contact you via Instagram! So good luck!

To Mum...

Sunday, 6 March 2016
So it is Mothers Day in the UK today and I'd like to dedicate this post to my mum...

I want to thank you for a wonderful childhood. Even when we had nothing I always had everything.

I want to thank you for being there for me at any time of the day... even when I ring you up at 2 in the morning complaining that I feel ill or cant sleep (I am still a child at heart haha!).

I want to thank you for taking me on mini adventures and whisking me off to places I've always wanted to see.

And I want to thank you for being the worlds best mum, even if you are annoying sometimes ;)

I love you, girl!
